Gardening Gals Get-Together 2016

Each year, MSHS celebrates the season with a “girlfriends” event. It has proven so popular that this year we will have two nights of the Gardening Gals Get-Together. So, get some friends together and join us for this evening of crafty fun.

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, or Thursday, Dec. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. we’ll start with wine sampling from our next-door neighbors in Roseville, The Cellars Wines and Spirits, then decorate a wreath for your front door or to give as a gift. We will all work with the same wreath kit from Mickman Brothers and be guided through our work by designers Lynne Tischler (Tuesday) or Ardith Beveridge (Thursday). Lynne is the owner and lead designer at Your Enchanted Florist in St. Paul as well as an associate teacher at Koehler & Dramm’s Institute of Floristry. Ardith is well known in the Twin Cities (and well beyond) as a floral designer, author and director of the Institute of Floristry at Koehler and Dramm. While we will be using a kit, the process will allow you to be creative with your werath, and you can bring items to personalize it, if you’d like. Two yards of a ribbon of your choice would be a great addition to the wreath. Please bring your own wire cutter and ribbon scissors, if you have them.

In addition to wine tasting and working on this fun project, there will be time to enjoy tasty hors d’oeuvres and do some holiday shopping for the gardeners on your list in the MSHS store.

The event will be held in the MSHS classroom, 2705 Lincoln Dr., Roseville. Cost is $35 for MSHS members, $40 for nonmembers. Please register by Dec. 1 for this fun event.
