What's Blooming at the End of September?

It’s hard to believe we will be in October by the middle of next week. This past month has been remarkably pleasant for Minnesota gardeners. Lots of sun, rain at just the right times and some very beautiful blooms.
What’s blooming at the end of September? The various sedums look especially attractive this time of year. Autumn Joy sedum is still in its pink stage, but the color is deepening, and it will likely be a deep russet by the end of October.
