Spotlight: Koehler & Dramm

MSHS and Koehler and Dramm’s Institute of Floristry value their shared history of inspiring beautiful creations with plants. So, when MSHS was looking for a sponsor for the popular Make and Take class series in 2019, Koehler and Dramm was the perfect fit. “We at the institute feel strongly about the arts and flowers and the joy they bring to our community,” says Cheryl Stanius-Deiman of Koehler. “MSHS is a gem in our cities and we want to support educational opportunities for its members to express their creative side with flowers—really, it’s a beautiful arrangement!”

Founded in 1989 by floral designer Ardith Beveridge and Rich Dramm, Koehler and Dramm’s Institute of Floristry teaches the art and science of floral design to industry professionals. Now retired, Beveridge taught inspiring wreath-making classes at the MSHS classroom in Roseville for many years, as well as special classes for members at the Koehler and Dramm facility in Minneapolis.
Recently MSHS expanded its Make and Take classes, tailoring them to the changing seasons and current trends in design. The classes are held at a variety of neighborhood venues in order to connect with local businesses and to introduce members to fun spots in the Twin Cities. “Sponsor support from Koehler and Dramm is helping to make these additional class offerings possible and more colorful,” says Lara Lau-Schommer, MSHS director of education and outreach.
