It’s a HUGE weekend for plant sales!

There were a ton of great plant sales last weekend, but this weekend may be the biggest. These plant sales are run by garden clubs, Master Gardener groups and community organization. They’re a great place to fill a hole in your garden and meet fellow plant lovers.

Here’s a partial list of some of the plant sales we know about, including those outside the metro area. Check them out!

Montevideo VFW Plant Sale

Wednesday, May 16, 3 to 6 p.m.
VFW, Southtown Plaza, 570 1st St. S., Montevideo.
Selection of annuals, perennials, tomatoes, woody plants and more. Benefits community projects.

Rochester Garden and Flower Club

Wednesday, May 16, 4 to 7 p.m.
Thursday, May 17, 8 a.m. to noon
Olmsted County Fairgrounds, Horticulture Building, 16th Street and Third Avenue S.E., Rochester.
More than 150 varieties of annuals and perennials grown for Minnesota gardens, many donated by club members. Proceeds are used for community service projects.

South St. Paul Garden Club

Friday, May 18, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, May 19, 8 a.m. to noon
Dar and Tom Alleva’s Gardens, 2024 Third St. N., St. Paul.
Members donate hundreds of locally grown sun and shade perennials. Seedlings, shrubs, raspberry, strawberry and rhubarb plants, as well as hybrid lilies and heritage hostas. Proceeds benefit the South St. Paul Educational Foundation Dodge Nature Center Fund.

St. Cloud Garden Club

Friday, May 18, 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Whitney Senior Center Clemens Hall, 1527 Northway Dr., St. Cloud.
Perennials for sun and shade, annuals, herbs, vegetables and more, many grown by club members. Experienced gardeners available to answer your questions.

Dakota County Perennial Sale

Saturday, May 19, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Community of Christ Church, 5990 134th St. Ct., Apple Valley.
Numerous sun and shade perennials divided and donated by club members. Master gardeners available to answer questions.

Garden Club of Ramsey County

Saturday, May 19, 8 to 11 a.m.

Edgecumbe Recreation Center, 320 Griggs St. S., St. Paul.
Choose from over 3,500 plants, many plucked from some of the best gardens in Ramsey County. Now accepting credit cards.

Ramsey County Master Gardeners

Saturday, May 19, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Barn, 2020 White Bear Ave., Maplewood.
Shop hundreds of great plants, carefully tended by expert gardeners. Proceeds support community programs that engage youth in horticulture projects and University of Minnesota scholarships.

Trillium Garden Club

Saturday, May 19, 8 a.m. to noon
Home of Pat Murphy, 601 Olive St. W., Stillwater.
Perennials from members’ gardens as well as annuals, vegetables and herbs. Proceeds benefit community garden projects and support scholarships for horticulture students.

Wright County Horticultural Society

Saturday, May 19, 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Sturges Park, Hwy. 25 and Second Ave. S., Buffalo.
Wonderful selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs, vegetables and more grown by local gardeners. Proceeds help maintain public gardens in Buffalo. Rain or shine. Cash or check only.

Apple Valley Garden Club

Saturday, May 19, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Redwood Park, 311 150th St. W., Apple Valley.

Burnsville Native Plant Market

Saturday, May 19, 9 a.m. to noon
Parking lot across the street from Burnsville City Hall, 100 Civic Center Pkwy., Burnsville.
Native wildflowers, ferns and grasses will be for sale from multiple vendors. This is a farmers’ market style event. Cash or check only.

Douglas County Master Gardeners

Saturday, May 19, 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out.
Viking Plaza Mall, 3015 Hwy. 29 S., Alexandria.
Locally grown perennials, herbs and vegetables with an accent on edible gardening.

Goodhue County Horticultural Society

Saturday, May 19, 9 to 11 a.m.
Depot Garden, 418 Levee St., Red Wing.
Many perennials dug from member gardens, plus a selection of annuals, vegetables and herbs started from seed by members.

Hennepin County Master Gardeners
Saturday, May 19, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Normandale College, 9700 France Ave. S., Bloomington.
Most plants have been grown by Master Gardeners; includes unusual annuals and perennials, vegetable seedlings, natives, rain garden plants and plant for pollinators. Master Gardeners on hand to answer questions. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.

Minnesota River Valley Master Gardeners

Saturday, May 19, 9 to 11 a.m.
Caledonia Curling Club (east door), 600 Hope St., Mankato.
Purchase perennial plants. Proceeds benefit community projects in Blue Earth, Nicollet and Waseca counties. Cash or check only.

Oakdale Garden Club

Saturday, May 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Eberle Park, 3800 Hadley Ave. N., Oakdale.
Perennials, natives, vegetables, houseplants, miscellaneous garden items.

Sherburne County Master Gardeners

Saturday, May 19, 9 to 11 a.m.
Sherburne County Fairgrounds, Small Animal Barn, 18338 Joplin St. N.W., Elk River.
Bulbs, shrubs, annuals, perennials, vegetable seedlings, houseplants, herbs and garden-related items. Accepting clean, empty plastic garden pots and trays for recycling.
