Garden Ideas, Advice at Minnesota Home Show

The temperatures may still be in the cellar, but when things warm up this weekend, cooped-up gardeners can find lots of garden ideas, advice and inspiration at the Minnesota Home and Patio Show at the St. Paul RiverCentre, starting Thursday evening through Sunday. Whether your interest is in planting for bees, vegetable gardening, containers or using foliage to create beautiful perennial gardens, we’ve got the experts to tell you how to do it easily and well.

All of the garden presentations will be held in the Roy Wilkins Exhibition Hall near the MSHS booth. At the booth, you can join MSHS, see a selection of books and other merchandise or buy bulbs (highly recommended — these bulbs are great). MSHS also will have a potting bench for kids and on Saturday and Sunday (12 to 4 p.m.) the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners from Ramsey County will be at the booth to answer all your garden questions.

It should be a pleasant weekend to get out of the house and start thinking about your garden! Join us for the fun.

Show entry is $10 for adults. Certain levels of MSHS membership get in free. All the talks are free and open to the public. Below is the roundup of speakers and topics:
