Gifts for Gardeners: Barb Dreyer Pottery
During the month of December, we’re highlighting all the gifts for gardeners recommended in the November/December issue of Northern Gardener.
What better way to celebrate our beautiful Minnesota landscape than through art. These pottery pieces make great gifts for gardeners because artist Barb Dreyer shares the nature around her Grasston, Minn., home by imprinting leaves, branches, pine needles and berries on her pottery pieces. She fires them in different types of kilns and uses a variety of glazes for a palette of textures on platters, pitchers, vases and other useful items. Pieces with lead-free glazes are microwave and oven safe and add beauty to any table or decorative arrangement. $10-$70.
Available at Prairie Restorations, Inc., 31646 128th St., Princeton, and 21120 Ozark Court N., Scandia; 763-631-9546.
