What is Garden-in-a-Box?

A signature hort society program, Garden-in-a-Box (GIAB) distributes more than 500 gardening kits—including plants, soil, fertilizer, raised beds and growing resources—to 80+ organizations throughout Minnesota every year. GIAB gives thousands of children, adults and families the opportunity to learn how to garden and grow fresh food.

How does it work?

With support from generous donors and sponsors, GIAB distributes gardening kits to nonprofit and community organizations, childcare centers and schools. Participants receive free plants, seeds, soil and education. See who qualifies >>
