Stephanie Thurow is a local food preservation expert and suburban homesteader. She is a Certified Master Food Preserver and Hennepin County Master Gardener. Though Stephanie is skilled in all methods of food preservation, she has special interest in water bath canning and fermentation. She teaches classes and presents on all the topics she writes about, including maple tapping, small-scale homesteading, chicken keeping, and more. Stephanie is the author of Can It & Ferment It, WECK Small-Batch Preserving, WECK Home Preserving, and the co-author of Small-Scale Homesteading. Stephanie is also a Minnesota Cottage Food Producer.
