A longtime Minnesota State Fair tradition, the hort society's Potted Plant Show draws hundreds of entries and thousands of viewers, sparking interest in plants and giving the public up-close access to new varieties for home and garden. The competition cultivates aesthetic sense and artistic skills, highlighting excellent specimens and creative use of plant material. It also promotes improved horticultural practices in the home, garden and community.

The goal of our Judging & Exhibiting Society? To share knowledge and a love of gardening through educational meetings, plant shows and publications. Judging & Exhibiting helps people grow beautiful specimens for exhibitions and fairs and gain excellent skills in creating fascinating designs out of plant material.
