About Marie

Marie Schuhwerck is the owner and farmer behind Minnesota’s only open-to-the-public lavender farm. She has been growing lavender since 2019 and currently grows 17 distinct lavender cultivars on her farm. Named Dakota County Farm Family of the Year (2024), Marie blends agriculture, education, and hospitality through on-farm events, school field trips, guided tours, u-pick experiences, and intimate micro-ceremonies. She previously served on the board of the U.S. Lavender Growers Association and is known for making specialty farming both accessible and unforgettable.
