Ways to Give
Your gift—in any amount—powers valuable community outreach programs that provide access to plants and gardening resources. Beyond giving online, over the phone or by mail, here are seven additional ways you can support MSHS.
Become a sustaining donor
At age 70 ½, IRA investors are required by law to take mandatory minimum distributions. An increasingly popular way to make gifts tax-free, transfers to MSHS must be made directly from the IRA or by writing a check from the IRA up to a $100,000 limit. Now that the IRA Charitable Rollover legislation is passed permanently, donors are able to plan each year in advance. Here is a sample letter of instruction for your financial institution.
