Tax Deductibility

Membership Levels

Northern Gardener level, Discounted affiliated group membership levels (garden club, plant society, master gardener and student) and subscriptions do not include a tax-deductible donation to MSHS. After the cost of the magazine, the garden show tickets, and other member benefits, we have determined that the materials received exceed the dollar amount paid, thus cannot be counted as a donation.

Only donations given above your membership dues qualify as a tax-deductible donation.

Donations Above Membership

The Minnesota State Horticultural Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit.  Your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please consult your tax professional.

A portion of your ticket price to the 2017 Spring Garden Gala is tax-deductible.
