Kait Ryan holds a B.S. in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and her professional experience is focused on public horticulture management. She managed the garden and grounds at Chihuly Garden & Glass and the Space Needle in Seattle, WA before returning to Minnesota to work in public horticulture with the Minneapolis Park Board. In her current role as Horticulture Supervisor, Kait is active in integrated pest management strategies, formal garden and landscape design, horticulture trends, and public engagement. She is passionate about creating access to horticulture and sparking public interest in the natural world especially in an urban setting. Other interests include lawn alternatives, front yard gardening, and gardening with children.
She has spoken to garden clubs in the Seattle, WA metro area as well as at local nurseries. She has presented at Chihuly Garden and Glass and the Space Needle.
