Visitors use their cell phones to download the Revelo AR App to view digital images and audio at stops along the walk which honors\, educates and connects visitors to Dakota history\, culture and significance of the land through art and storytelling. Then remember you are not.” \nJoin us May 27th at Subtext Books to celebrate the release of On An Inland Sea: Writing the Great Lakes and its Minnesotan contributors\,  Martha Lundin\, Staci Drouillard\, Sheila Packa\, and Aaron Brown. The event starts at 7 PM\, authors will be reading sections from their work in On An Inland Sea. \nThe thirty-three writers in this collection grapple with the vastness of the lakes—and the vastness of experience living alongside them. Gabriel Bump explores how his relationship with Lake Michigan changed after losing a friend. For another writer\, the water provided the freedom to explore a romance that would have been too complicated on land. Come dive for shipwrecks\, harvest manoomin\, and visit the disappearing ice caves. Witness the chickadees\, smelt\, and cattails\, but also zebra mussels\, factory runoff\, and algae. Each writer’s relationship with the lakes is personal and unique\, but that relationship to the water is also one shared by so many of us.

Join Arboretum staff and volunteers for a 30-minute\, 0.25 mile walking tour of the Arboretum’s formal gardens. This tour consists of 4-6 stops at various areas around the garden and is on a fully accessible trail. Discovery Booths are included with general daily admission\, which is free for members and ages 15 and younger and $20-$25 for non-members ages 16 and older. Every Saturday through October 17\, 2026.
