SUMMARY:Music in the Garden
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy live music throughout the summer! This year\, we welcome new and returning artists to our series\, which occurs June through October. Join us every Sunday afternoon from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Music genres will include blues\, folk\, brass quintets\, and orchestra. There’s something for everyone. Rootstock Cafe will be open with food\, beer and wine available as well as the Rootstock Ice Cream Cart (weather permitting). The series is included with your general daily admission to the Arboretum\, please reserve your admission on the website. \n

SUMMARY:Garden Club of Minneapolis  hosts a Tour of the Normandale Japanese Garden
DESCRIPTION:Join the Garden Club of Minneapolis for an enjoyable tour of the Normandale Japanese Garden with Cece Cope\, Japanese Garden Lead Volunteer.  This Japanese strolling garden  is over-flowing with Japanese garden elements:  a gated entrance\, multiple bridges\, stone lanterns\, shelters\, symbolic islands\, rocks\, streams and waterfalls. Plant materials\, though mostly not those used in Japan due to climate differences\, reflect the reserved use of flowering plants that is traditional in Japan. Variations in tones and textures of green predominate and woody plant materials are trimmed or pruned to specific aesthetic goals. \nFree and open to the public.  Please park in the west lot  and meet at the front entrance of the garden at 3:30 pm. \nFor more information\, go to https://gardenclubmpls.org/calendar/events/
