Son of a farmer and school teacher/soil conservationist, I watched my Dad and Grandfather die of cancer caused by ag chemicals. Years later I was in charge of grounds for a children's psychiatric hospital and started using organic methods on the playground. After 3 years the playground grass was looking better than the rest of the grounds, which were managed with chemicals. The year was 1986. Since then, I've owned and operated a design/build landscape firm and an organic lawn care company called Organic Bob LLC.
