Would you like to develop your aesthetic sense as well as your artistic and design skills? Learn how to show what you grow! This class will give you the perspective of a horticulture and design judge. Completion of the four part course will lead to official MSHS Judge Certification/Credential. Open to all, especially anyone interested in becoming a certified horticulture and design judge, or renewing their certification. With certification, you are eligible to judge at local plant and flower shows, 4-H, county fairs and the Minnesota State Fair. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion for each section they complete. School #3 and #4 will be held on Saturday, September 27.

Each class will have a one hour lecture, demonstrations, hands-on experience, evaluation and wrap-up quiz. The discussion about how to judge will be ongoing throughout the presentation. Information about how to access text will be sent upon pre-registration so you can study before the class. You will also be sent guidelines for bringing a plant or arrangement for practice judging.
