Introduction to the Invasive Plant Patrol Volunteer Program

Maplewood Nature Center, 2659 Seventh St. E., Maplewood.

How can you stop new invasive plants from taking over? Join us to learn about the Invasive Plant Patrol: a citizen science volunteer program to spot and stop plants like wild parsnip before it is too late. Volunteers hike, use GPS units and report sightings to ensure quick action.

Sign up afterward if you'd like to commit 14 volunteer hours and attend the free training. Training session is on Friday, April 11, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Registration is required to ensure we have supplies for everyone.

To register and get directions, call Maplewood Nature Center: 651-249-2170.
